How To 3D Emboss Any Wood Surface

Note: Steps 1 and 2 are for finished wood surfaces. For raw wood surfaces, start with Step 3.

Step 1: Clean surface with Clean Slate

Step 2: Apply one coat of One Step

Step 3: Secure stencil on wood surface with tape

Step 4: Apply embossing gel using a rubber applicator. Hold the stencil with one hand while applying the gel evenly with light touch using the other hand. This prevents the stencil from moving.
Amy’s Tip: Rubber applicators are preferred because it allows you to pull across it and around on the stencil evenly.

Step 5: Lift the stencil at the same time to prevent smudging.

Now you know the step-by-step process to create raised elements on your furniture and décor.
